A Third floor apartment in the historical centre of the city. Palazzo Bernardo sul Canal Grade is an important example of Gothic architecture

Extremely precise in its architectural lines and decorative details of the facade, between which l' esafora of the nobility recalled the 'gothic flowerd' of Ducal Palace. The building itself was built during the first half of the '400 for the family Bernardo, where they remained until 1868. It is documented that in 1442 it accommodated the Duke of Milan Francesco Sforza with his wife Bianca Visconti. The Palace is situated in the District of San Polo (municipal n. 1978), neighboring the historical zone of Rialto. The Large Canal is between the Bridge of Rialto and the University' Foscari.

The palace is situated on three levels, each of which belongs to each individual property. The last restoration preservation on the roof and the facade goes back to 1998-99.
During the works there were also extensive restoration of the exterior frescoes under the eaves of the third apartment. There is a very spacious internal courtyard for the exclusive use of the second and third apartment, the first apartment has the benefit of a separate entrance entering from a portico. The centre of the courtyard is enriched by an original Venetian sculpted water well situated at the main entranceway of the water to the Large Canal. An ornamental staircase made in Stone of Istria leads to the second and third level.
